WHO WE ARE
As the world's leading organization of professional real estate appraisers, the Appraisal Institute has general appraisal members who hold the Member Appraisal Institute (MAI), Senior Real Property Appraiser(SRPA), or Senior Real Estate Analyst (SREA) designations. Residential members hold the Senior Residential Appraisal (SRA) or Residential Member (RM) designations. Currently, the Appraisal Institute confers the MAI and SRA designations. The Appraisal Institute also has Associate and Affiliate Memberships.
Designated members have fulfilled rigorous educational and experience requirements, obtained a college degree or it's equivalent, and must adhere to a strictly enforced Code of Professional Ethics and Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice(USPAP).
